RAIN Sensitizes Indigens on Wildfire Prevention and Management
In Ghana, January marks the peak of the dry season and is characterized by a high number of fire outbreaks. This destroys farms, forests, homes, and sometimes even human lives.
To reduce the frequency of this occurrence, RAIN with support from our partner's ClientEarth and Gower Street collaborated with Nyinahin and Konongo Ghana National Fire Service in the Ashanti region, to sensitize the indigens of Antwi Agyei Krom and Adinkrakrom respectively on fire prevention and management.
Through a series of demonstrations, the participants were educated on the many sorts of fire outbreaks and the best ways to put them out.
